LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPISTS

Akron's award-winning day spa, gym, and wellness facility is seeking full or part-time Licensed Massage Therapists with an engaging wellness-oriented mindset. You should be passionate and enthusiastic about wellness with a desire to work with the industry's best products. We are looking for massage therapists to fill the increased demand for our busy massage department. 

Our massages and body treatments feature Red Flower NYC–a 100% botanically based organic line, and Comfort Zone Italy, a complete system of care for the skin, body, and soul. Comfort Zone’s mission is to promote a soulful, healthy, and sustainable lifestyle, with advanced science-based conscious solutions.

Candidates should be familiar with all massage techniques such as Swedish, therapeutic, prenatal, and spa-type treatments (body wraps, body treatments, and scrubs). Training is provided for all of our massage and body treatment protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must have an active State of Ohio Massage Therapy License

  • Work schedule flexibility is a must, with availability in evenings, weekends and some holidays 

  • Candidates must be able to sustain reasonable physical activity for the duration of a scheduled shift and handle a great deal of mobility while being on your feet.

  • Training will be provided to become familiar with our protocols, products, and workflow. 

MASSAGE THERAPIST DUTIES

  • Performs a wide range of massage and body treatments including, Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and prenatal massage

  • Stays up-to-date and educated on our retail spa lines and actively promotes products to our clients

  • Assures that guests leave happy, relaxed, and excited to return 

  • Completes side work and opening and closing duties as directed by the Manager

  • Stays up-to-date on current licensing changes and abides by all rules and regulations associated with licensure

  • Participates in sales and marketing events both inside and outside the spa

  • Adheres to all policies and procedures expected in The Spa at Yellow Creek handbook, including attendance and punctuality policies

  • Attends all meetings and required training

CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER

The Gym at Yellow Creek is committed to making a positive difference in others' lives every day. When you join our team, you'll have the satisfaction of helping people reach their fitness goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle in an environment that is positive, progressive, and empowering. 

For the past 13 years, we have offered an integrated approach to health and wellness through our spa and fitness facilities. We are seeking an established and experienced full-time Certified Personal Trainer with an engaging wellness-oriented mindset to add to our existing team. We  will support any efforts that you make to develop a client base and work closely with you to establish programs such as boot-camps, clinics, specialty classes, and personal training sessions.

Candidates must be available weekday mornings and evenings and must be flexible to accommodate the client's schedule. The candidate must have at least one of the following personal training certifications: NASM, NFPT, ISSA, NCCPT, IFPA, ACE, or NPTI.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Understand the principles of physical fitness and proper exercise technique

  • Possess excellent customer service skills.

  • Be driven and motivated to self-promote and network.

  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbal and in writing.

  • Capable of adjusting and operating fitness equipment

  • Able to be coachable and is a team-oriented individual

PERSONAL TRAINER RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Build a client base by conducting fitness assessments and demonstrating personal training value, including safe and proper exercise techniques

  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive fitness programs based on clients' goals

  • Motivate and inspire clients to get results through goal setting, frequent follow-up, and re-assessments to show progress 

  • Provide high-quality hospitality to all members

  • Keep work areas clean and safe for clients and members, follow all cleaning and sanitation protocols

COMPENSATION: $13.00 to $22.00/hour

LICENSED NAIL TECHNICIAN / MANICURIST

Akron's award-winning day spa, gym, and wellness facility is seeking full or part-time Licensed Nail Technicians/Licensed Manicurists with an engaging wellness-oriented mindset. You should be passionate and enthusiastic about beauty with a desire to work with the industry's best products. Our manicures and pedicures feature Red Flower NYC, a 100% botanically based organic line. Our polish line has triple pigmented, super-saturated colors developed by Deborah Lippmann-celebrity manicurist, who works with the biggest names in Hollywood and fashion. For extended wear, we have CND SHELLAC 14-Day Nail Color system.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE • All Nail Technicians/Manicurists are required to have an active manicurist or cosmetology license from the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology. • Candidates must be familiar with natural nail care and CND Shellac • Work schedule flexibility is a must, with availability in evenings, weekends and some holidays • Candidates must be able to sustain reasonable physical activity for the duration of a scheduled shift • Experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to become familiar with our protocols, products, and workflow.

LICENSED NAIL TECHNICIANS/MANICURIST DUTIES • Stays up-to-date and educated on our retail spa lines and actively promotes and sells products to our clients • Manages treatment time efficiently and at a high-quality level–performing manicures within 30 minutes and pedicures within 45 minutes (our services range in price from $35-$95 with a duration of 30-90 minutes). • Assures that guests leave happy, relaxed, and excited to return • Completes side work, keeps workspace exceptionally clean and performs open and closing duties as directed by the Manager • Stays up-to-date on current licensing changes and abides by all rules and regulations associated with licensure • Participates in sales and marketing events both inside and outside the spa • Adheres to all policies and procedures expected in The Spa at Yellow Creek handbook, including attendance and punctuality policies • Attends all meetings and required training
