Year started at The Spa: 2005

Part of the original Yellow Creek opening team in 2005, Aaron is an honors graduate of Toronto's Shiatsu School of Canada where he studied under Sensei Kaz Kamiya. The SCC is the world's leading Zen shiatsu training program. He is also a student of the late Kundalini Yoga master, Yogi Bhajan, and is certified to teach Kundalini Yoga and Meditation. Aaron has an incredible ability to recognize physical concerns and understand physiological and neural disruptions that inhibit individuals from living life to the fullest. His treatments incorporate techniques that help to relieve these concerns. When clients leave his room, they describe their experience as "magic".

Sonya was originally recruited to assist the spa with a trade show where she was hired to perform chair massages. When our director overheard clients talking about their 10-minute chair massage, saying that it was incredible, we quickly offered her a position. They say that you can always tell when someone is a true "healer" in this industry and Sonya certainly exemplifies this in her work.

Alexandra comes to us as a 2015 graduate of the National Institute of Massage Therapy. She has spent most of her career in chiropractic care, collaborating with chiropractors and physicians to provide a uniquely rounded approach to client needs. Alexandra is interested in Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga and believes in aiding the body’s natural ability to heal and reconnect. She focuses her massage technique on facilitating her client’s overall wellness and improvement goals.

Dawn began working with us during a busy time for the spa, and word quickly spread about her exceptional technique. She quickly became a regularly requested therapist. Since working at the spa, Dawn has continued to grow as a therapist and has become increasingly passionate about special techniques that focus on specific concerns. Dawn always has a smile on her face, and her positive attitude rubs off on you during her treatments. She specializes in firm-pressured Swedish Massages.

Theresa, a proud 2019 alumnus of NorthCoast Medical Academy, holds a diploma and a licensed massage therapist credential. After two years of honing her skills in a clinical environment alongside a chiropractor, she joined The Spa team in 2021. With a firm belief in the holistic approach to wellness, Theresa integrates her knowledge from her bachelor's degree in exercise science and her certification as a health coach. This diverse educational background equips her with a distinctive perspective, ensuring guests receive optimal care and feel their best.

Suzette graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Medical Massage Therapy in 2011 and worked in hotels and day spas before joining our team. Suzette has a desire to make a difference in our world through providing alternative healing with her hands. She specializes in deep tissue massage (nicknamed 'vice grip') and also offers specialty treatments such as Raindrop Therapy and cupping. Suzette strives to make every client feel like a new person by sharing her expert massage hands while helping her clients restore balance and harmony. Suzette decided to increase her knowledge and versatility in 2017 by pursuing an aesthetics license from The Brown Mackie Aveda School. She is now offering skincare services, microdermabrasion and hair removal. Suzette is able to utilize her dual license to offer more unique services and experiences to her clients. She is able to provide a complete experience from head to toe with a consistent touch by performing a massage and facial one after the other for a full 2 hours treatment session.

Megan initially joined The Spa at Yellow Creek as a clinical massage therapist to support the overall wellness concept with a chiropractic care center. She quickly transitioned into the role of a spa therapist, offering a variety of world-class massage treatments. Megan graduated from The Cleveland Institute of Medical Massage and began her career in day spas in the Cleveland area before moving into a more medically focused position in Avon. Through her work, she has developed a strong passion for healing and assisting patients in their journey toward better health and wellness through the power of massage therapy.

Megan's motivation and dedication to becoming a massage therapist stem from her journey of supporting her father through his battle with cancer while pursuing her education. She aspires to obtain certification in oncology massage therapy in the future. The description text goes here.

Jennifer Wolfkill is a testament to the belief that everything is achievable. After spending over seven years in a factory setting as a single parent, Jennifer seized 2020 as the year of transformation. Rather than applying her dexterous hands to the manufacture of machinery, she felt a calling to use her abilities to nurture others towards a state of wellbeing.

In a leap of faith, Jennifer left her old life behind in July 2020 to join the Cleveland Institute of Medical Massage. Fueled by a fascination for muscular anatomy and a thirst for learning, she quickly overcame challenges, emerging as an accomplished therapist. Her dedication saw her amass over 750 hours of classroom study, gain hands-on experience in a clinical environment, and eventually secure her license from the State Medical Board of Ohio.

Jennifer's clients consistently benefit from her remarkable work ethic and healing abilities, leaving them feeling revitalized and often returning for more sessions. Her strong hands are matched by her large and caring heart, which brings comfort and peace to her clients. Beyond her profession, Jennifer is an avid fitness enthusiast and a creative spirit who finds artistic inspiration in the simplest elements of life.

Carolyn Erbaugh Est. | Licensed Since: 2004 | Year started at The Spa 2005

Carolyn was part of the original opening team at the spa in 2005. Carolyn has always been looking for a spa where she could focus on overall wellness. While spending years in California, Carolyn couldn't seem to find that perfect fit. After returning to her hometown of Akron, she decided to join our team. Carolyn received extensive Decléor and Carita training and instantly fell in love with the product lines. She returned to college in 2006 to study psychology and pursue a degree in counseling while still keeping her hands in the aesthetics industry. Carolyn returned to the spa in November 2012 to help out during the holiday season and remembered how much she missed working with our products and clients. In May of 2013, Carolyn returned to the spa to assist with our vision of care and service. Carolyn specializes in Carita facials, brow shaping, and advanced skincare.

Amanda specializes in customized skincare and facial massage techniques, manicures and pedicures (including gel polish application), waxing, lash and brow tinting, massage, and body treatments.

She began her beauty career over 15 years ago at the Australian Academy of Beauty and Spa Therapy. While studying with dozens of skincare companies over the years, Amanda has developed her appreciation for cosmetic chemistry and skin biology. She applies this to provide resurfacing peels, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, and other customized skincare programs.

Amanda also has extensive experience in sensory relaxation techniques, reflexology, and lymphatic drainage.

Some of her celebrity clientele has included Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts during preparations for Kidman's wedding to Keith Urban and Tina Fay, while filming in Cleveland, Ohio, and countless professional athletes and their spouses from the NBA, NFL, and MLB.

Cheri draws upon over 34 years of experience in the spa industry.

Combining her passions, she is a multi-skilled aesthetician, reflexologist, specialized body, and energetic work technician.

She believes massage and energy work can help unify and aid in healing the whole self. Using a combination of fluid motions, nurturing touch, and symmetry, she creates a relaxed state in the body and the mind while tending to each client’s needs.

Cheri specializes in Chakra Balancing, Lomi Lomi, skincare, and Reflexology.

Morgan has worked for several luxury skincare and cosmetic lines since 2011 until joining The Spa. She has most recently worked as a regional artist for Christian Dior. Morgan earned a bachelor's degree from The University of Akron in Public Relations and Professional Sales, which led to a position at a marketing agency. After working at the agency for nearly two years, Morgan decided to focus her career on skincare and enrolled in the National Beauty College to become a licensed Aesthetician. Morgan first worked with The Spa at the end of her aesthetics training in 2018 as an intern, where she was exposed to The Spa’s meticulous training and high standards for skincare. The Spa quickly realized her potential and offered her a position to join our skin care team. Morgan is extraordinarily passionate about skin health and takes a detailed approach to consultations providing an effective treatment and skin care regimen for her clients’ lifestyles while achieving their personal goals.

Suzette is a gifted therapist who has been licensed by the Ohio State Medical Board as a massage therapist since 2012, providing massage services at The Spa since 2014. In 2017, she continued her education and skill set by attending The Brown Mackie Aveda School for Aesthetics and has been a licensed aesthetician since 2017. This dual-license allows her to provide more diverse treatment offerings utilizing both massage and skincare from head to toe for a full 2-hour session. Suzette is able to provide any skincare, body, massage or hair removal treatments offered by The Spa excluding Zen Shiatsu and Reflexology.
